"Sirens" from the Greek myth with the exploration of a contemporary interpretation was the theme of my final project at Bournville Centre for Visual Arts.  I passed the course with merit in May 2008. This artwork was one of several large pieces that I produced on this theme.  It was immensely satisfying and interesting creating this piece because it opened up all the infinite possibilities of using collage.  I was able to use a variety of materials including: paint, fabric, lace, handmade paper, wallpaper, ribbon, sequins, stitching and felt.  The grant I have received from the Eaton Fund has provided me with the wonderful opportunity of being able to mount and frame a number of my artworks on paper in preparation for my very first exhibition of my work booked for August 2009 at The Artrix, Bromsgrove.  My sincere thanks to the Eaton Fund for their support.
